There is no reason to read this poem--nor any meaning behind life--because we are all dumb as cows and blinder than the night

No, not really.  None of it is exactly...
pointless.  The fact of the matter is we are pre-
disposed 

to patterns of behavior because we have experienced them
over and over again.  Therein lies the counter-
intuitive

juxtaposition of the future with the past.  Tomorrow
is now yesterday.  To-
day 

never happened.  Some-
where along the way we got hung up on some-
thing.  

Problem is:  Faith alone
cannot will you down from a meat-
hook.
